Happy Days

I commend people who have a good work/life balance. I find it extremely exhausting trying to find time for everything. The days I go to work I do nothing but wake up, have a couple hours for homework, and then have to start making my lunch and getting ready for work.

With that being said I'm always caught in this mindset of "I'm going to die anyway" or "I should be budgeting my money tighter." Every time I want to buy something I tell myself that. Probably not the smartest thing I do but maybe 5/10 times I get the answer I'm looking for.

I think it's sad we all just work to live, and are trained to live for work. I hope you're all having a good week and even if it wasn't the best, or maybe it was the greatest week of your life, we all made it.

  1. There are only 24 hours in a day and obligations take up most of our time and energy. Your choice to work for living and pursuing higher education to improve your future prospects speaks well of you :-) In the long run, your sacrifices now will yield more freedom down the road.

  2. Harley, I have to be honest and say that I feel the exact same way towards people that "have it together". However, I snap myself out of it. I do not believe that they have it ALL together. I am a strong believer of physics. What does this have anything to do with? Well, with order comes disorder. There has to be something in disorder at all times, so when I scroll through IG or Pintrest and someone seems to have their life together, I remind myself that I am blinded by their background and that they're only showing me what I want to see. Two months have passed me by and I still have an empty planner. I do not know how to get organized but I blame that on anxiety - I am uncertain of what will come or what will ruin it when I do get organized. I hope that you do things in the way that YOU get them done. Just get it done. That's all that matter. IF you are not enjoying the way you get them done, then babysteps.

  3. It does seem that way but life is short and with whatever you do in life you have to enjoy it.Your sacrifices will payoff in the long run.

  4. It's sad to look at it that way, but I always try to think positively and try to live my life as best as I can. I'm usually always grateful for the small things because I know life can be hard but it will always get better : )

  5. I mean it make sense. What is life even about anyway? We all know that one day we'll die it only a matter of time, yet we go through life doing things to survive just so we can die one day. Some times I feel like life is a long list of chores. First chore, go to school. Second chores, get a job. Third chores, get marry and have a family. Etc etc. Only the lucky few get to live their lives in luxury and struggle free while most of us just do the things needed to get done in order for us to have that few extra happy moments in life.

  6. I don't currently have a job, just focusing on school but I am afraid that my life will turn out like that with not enough free time.

  7. It's a really sad thought, and I'm striving to become and adjust to adulthood I'm finding it difficult to find time for everything. Ran across a sweet little song this week though. I thought it was so perfect as I'm really trying to get things caught up since being down for so long. And you're so right, we made it to the end of the week.

  8. It unfortunate we all have this work to live, live to work mentality. It definitely makes me want to quit everything and buy an off-grind plot of land to live on without the stresses of normal society.
